I love catching sunsets and started travelling in 2014 when my work schedule was kinda flexible. I'm always on th lookout for crazy flight sales and that would be how I decide on my destination. I used to travel with friends and it has never crossed my mind that I would travel on my own.

I am currently doing solo trips and planning for an overland trip from Singapore to UK for about half a year.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I signed up while doing research on my solo trip to Maldives! This is a good platform for backpackers to mingle so why not!

My 1st couchsurf experience was super awesome. For th past years that I've traveled on my own I have never thought that this would be th greener side. I met a few like-minded couchsurfers and honestly, this community makes me want to keep travelling!

I fell in love with th marine life and am currently logging my dives almost everywhere I land my ass onto. Basically, my dream is to wake up everyday by th beach and go diving! Haha

In my culture (or basically how I grew up), it is not norm for one to travel on your own mainly due to safety and th society. Most time I understand that one must be married so th husband will tc of your well-being.

I found my courage when I decided to repeat a trip. I booked th same trip I went a month earlier. The same of everything. And yes, it was amazing. I am amazed at how much I learnt about myself from a different perspective! I love impromptu plans but I make sure nothing cocks up. I will do crazy research on awesome places that I will run into but I don't usually book a spot for myself online.

I highly encourage those of you who wants to go out there and travel on your own especially my female buddies, to just do it! Well, for a start go to somewhere familiar and slowly venture out to further places. Just be easily contactable so worried people can reach you hahaha. Trust me, you have what it takes!
