ABOUT ME

I am an open-minded, kind and optimistic individual, who has a craze for travel, for seeing new places and meeting new people. Travelling is just among the most important things for me, something, I couldn't live without! It's like a positive charge for me, and time to time I do need to recharge my batteries!:)
I like so many things, that it would not be possible to mention all of them! The Sun, summer, babies, smiling people, animals (especially cats), nature, performing art (theatre, ballet, opera) are just some of them! I enjoy meeting my friends, watching educational TV broadcasts, reading, helping to anyone in need. I am quite sociable being, although sometimes I need a break, some time just for myself - even without TV and phone calls. I can be a good collocutor and a good listener as well. I am open to new positive experiences, tolerant to all religions and cultures, maybe I am a little bit of idealist, do believing, that we all are brothers and sisters, living on the Earth to help each other, to make each other happy, leaving all the bad experiences behind, in the past, and that all our good deeds get back to us, what means, the more good things you do, the more good things you will receive in return! Just try, and you will see, it do works!:)

Our problem is, that we are tended to make our lives more complicated. We are always in a hurry, rushing somewhere, and sometimes we even have no time to stop and see, that the direction, we are rushing to, is the wrong one! We are not getting concentrated on the things, we already have, but on the things, we still do not have! Then we are complaining too much, blaming the whole world in our own mistakes!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by offering a couch in my flat, telling about this wonderful project to the other people and trying to surf the couches in every country I travel to.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Till now I (quite often together with my husband Arnis) have surfed the couches in Amritsar, Delhi, Istanbul, Dublin, London, Marseilles, Madrid, Valencia, Milan, Zaragoza, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bremen, Berlin, Haarlem, Salzburg, Paris, Aberdeen, Newcastle upon Tyne, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Cardiff and Uppsala. I keep on meeting nice people, having more and more positive experiences! I keep on falling in love with every new country, every new place, that I visit and in this amazing project in general, thanks to which I feel, like I would have discovered the world quite recently!!!

So much, that I even don't know, what to start with!
Music - different, from classic (Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, etc) to pop. I like the music of 80's, 90's, but the latest as well.
Movies and books - I like movies & books, that make me think about the life, that make me wish to do something to make it better! That's why I love P.Coelho books so much..

Although I still don't have my own babies, thanks to my good experience working as a nanny (for more than 10 yrs.) I could teach a lot about them (how to develop them, care of them, etc.).

I would like to improve my english and swedish (that's exactly, what I'm trying to do now!:)) and to learn some more languages.

I would be happy to share the travel experience!

If I am at home and not too busy, I definitely can show my town to everybody, interested in it! We have blankets and all other things, that could be necessary, I guess, but your own sleeping bags and all the other stuff you need is highly appreaciated. If I am at home (for my husband's English is too poor:((), I will be happy to host people for maximum 3 days. I can be a very good host, offering my place, my time, my hospitality and any possible help, but will expect your respect, your company in the evening and your "thank you" at the end in return!:)
