About Me

CURRENT MISSION

If there's a Cat Art museum, I will be there.

ABOUT ME

Why does couch surfing keep telling me that I'm logging in from Palo Alto... so weird. My kitchen must be in a strange type of wormhole that leads to silicon valley.

I love sewing & crafting with friends. Always up for a bike ride, especially in big groups! You can usually find me at a show, there are so many great places to see music in SF: bars, hair salons, abandoned movie theaters, buses, ect...

I'm a lover of all things cat; cat art, cat kitsch, and cat-centric fashion editorials. I'm really excited to visit the Katten Kabinet in Amsterdam next year.

Right now I'm working with friends to open an inclusive community sewing space where people can share their skills.

PHILOSOPHY

totally stoked on life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd love to show you around, or at the very least, give some recommendations. My expertise lies in muni bus lines, bike routes, crazy food, weird art experiences, music, and all things free.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couch surfed once before, and had a great experience. My host was super helpful, and totally saved the day when i couldn't get in touch with my friends upon entering town. She showed me around and gave me great advice.

Interests

Natural history, medical oddities, potlucks, vegetarian cooking, thrift stores, bicycles, temperamental lamps, and videos of old sonny & cher performances.

Music, Movies, and Books

favorites of the moment:
movie: "Hausu" a psychedelic haunted cat horror. "An Education" totally the most beautiful movie I've seen all year.
music: Beach Fossils, El Guincho, Joanna Newsom, Wavves
books: Just finished reading "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles" by Murakami, and would love to read more by the same author.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Before the adrenaline rush of sneaking into an amusement park (shimmied under a gate) could wear off, I rode the most heart-stopping roller coaster of my life. Hadn't ridden a roller coaster in 7 years, I actually had to remind myself to breathe.

Teach, Learn, Share

-I highly recommend getting a hold of a bike to get around sf. It's so much faster than busing, and you can cut across town in the many nifty bike lanes. If you get tired, you can always put your bike on the bus.

-San francisco is a city of light layers, wear them. Weather changes from neighborhood to neighborhood. It might be 75 in the mission, but it might also be 65 in the Haight!

-Make everyday the free day at the museum, ask people walking out for their ticket if they aren't going to use it anymore.

-There are amazing free tours and adventures awaiting you:
