Hi, I’m Levi! I am Dutch. Born and raised in the province of Utrecht where I will be studying Psychology. Some things I love doing are playing football, pubbing with friends, discovering unknown artists, searching for (secondhand) clothes and strategy- and card games. While solo bikepacking through Italy I’ve come to the conclusion that I am less good at being alone than I first thought so I’m very eager to meet new friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve found that not many people here (in this time of year) speak English and/or are fellow travelers. Also, having dinner by myself is not something I’ve mastered yet so some company to go with that would be awesome. So basically just to reach out and have some more fun!

Interests

When I’m by myself I tend to think a lot about human behavior and evolution, I don’t know why but I can’t get enough of it. Also football, and the strategy involved. Lastly, I like lists and ranking, like a lot. I’ll make rankings about anything, name it: movies, albums, artists, languages, beers, cities I’ve been to, counties I’ve seen, pieces of clothing I own and so on ;).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: anything really, it goes from U.S. rap (Black Thought, Nas, Kanye West) to (soft)rock (Guns N’ Roses, Dire Straits, Nirvana) to Dutch folkmusic (Acda en de Munnik, Yves Berendse, Goldband).

Movies: mostly movies/series that include some kind of intellect like Shawshank, Prison Break and The Da Vinci Code, however there’s one movie I can geek about forever and that is Real Steel (a random 2013 movie about robot boxers, its awesome you should see it).

Books: never liked books, I’ve seen Harry Potter tho. I have read some of the Roald Dahl books way back when but it must’ve been 8 years since I last touched a book.

I became checkers champion of the country with school once in the 6th grade.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m very easy to work with, zero demands. I do have a thyroid condition so I travel with medicine. I’m traveling with a tent, sleeping bag- and pad so a bed is not really necessary although it’s always welcome ;).
