About Me

Hey there! I’m a Brazilian backpacker who loves embracing new challenges — that’s why traveling feels so alive to me. It keeps me learning, connecting and growing in simple, real ways. I lived in Argentina for six beautiful years, then spent some time in Costa Rica and now I’m exploring Asia, taking things as they come. I enjoy yoga, long solitary walks, good music, books and slow mornings with coffee. I try to live gently, keeping ahimsa — the spirit of nonviolence — as a quiet reminder in my everyday life.

By the way, you can call me Galgø ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

The Smiths are one of my favorite bands and I’m really into electronic music too — ambient, downtempo, house, techno and more. I also enjoy indie, progressive and alternative rock, post-punk, MPB, samba, bossa nova and the list goes on.

When it comes to movies, I like genres such as animation, drama and musicals. Some of my favorite directors are David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick and Wes Anderson.

As for reading, I’m pretty open — novels, short stories, articles and basically any label-product-in-the-house I can get my hands on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I named my cat “Chanclas” because it was one of the first Spanish words I learned. It means flip-flops.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don’t see myself as a teacher of anything, but I do know how to cook a delicious Brazilian rice and play some percussion instruments, like djembe and kass kass.

It would be great to learn some French and Arabic, and of course how to cook tasty vegan food while camping.

We can share yoga practices, amazing meals and stargazing moments.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Which leads me to another set of random things we could talk about, like cake recipes, breathing techniques or political opinions. I’m an open-minded person and I’d love to show you a bit of the world I live in.
