ABOUT ME

i recently moved to tel aviv to do a post doc at the university. i'll be here for a couple of years, perhaps longer. i lived in tel aviv as a child and now i came back after 20 years, and am overwhelmed by the place. i finally got settled down and can host people. i live in the center of town, close to the shuk (market). i am very fond of this city, its energy, and the people, though the more i see the more i realize how much i have not seen.

over the years i managed to travel a bunch whenever i had spare time, mostly in europe. i have a strange fetish for former communist countries. i've been a vegetarian for 8 years and enjoy making fusion vegetarian food. i also like nature, big trees, big mountains, crisp clear water, and wildlife. unfortunately there is none anywhere around here.

for 5 years i was tied up with grad school (i am a science nerd), and now that i am done i love all this extra free time on my hands. these days i travel occasionally and imagine i'll be surfing or hosting. if you're in town i'll gladly host or come out for a coffee/drink.
