Love travelling! Love meeting people from new cultures and I’m all about the journey.

One of my passions is language, I’m an English language teacher and I have an obsession with French, Portuguese and Brazilian cultures in particular.

I also enjoy mountain biking, long hikes, bossa nova and samba music, middle eastern cooking and guitar.

Also perhaps worth mentioning I am straight, open to stay with all people as long as boundaries are respected :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I discovered couchsuring about 5 years ago while in Lyon - I met a man Germain in a train station! He mentioned it and I was pretty intrigued. Then a while later made another friend on a trip who was using it. She was travelling around by couchsufing and told me about the resource as a way to meet people and get a local insight.

Since trying it the first time I've never looked back. I now always try to incorporate some couchsurfing into a trip. For me it's a great way to get some insights on the culture, make friends and settle down for a while during a busy trip.

I enjoy reading food science books. Yes I'm a bit of a nerd about food and cooking.

I enjoy live jazz music,and I recently got into bossa nova and samba.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started teaching as an English teacher at a college at 19!

I once volunteered at a Kadampa Buddhist centre.

Seeing all the amazing things people on this site have done is humbling haha but I can’t wait to have more of these experiences.
