I'm originally from the UK where I worked most recently as a Financial Analyst but have lived in Australia for nearly 18 months where i've been working as a Hostel Manager. I'm now back out on the road travelling again for a short time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Having managed a hostel on the east coast of Australia I've met interesting people from all over the world. I intend to now travel for a short time and wish to meet the local people in the areas I visit rather than sticking to hotels like I would have previously.

Interests

Photography, I shoot events professionally when i'm settled in locations.
I absolutely love to cook, so I'd be happy to cook a meal for any hosts/guests.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music is eclectic, from The Tedeschi Trucks Band to the Zac Brown Band, from Ben Howard to Justin Bieber (this is a recent thing, isn't everyone a belieber now?), from Jason Mraz, John Mayer and Jack Johnson to J. Cole, Jay Z and John Legend. I'll listen to anything and absolutely love to go to gigs.

Movies are a huge part of my life, much like music i'll watch anything. My favourite film would be Once. Other classics such as Forrest Gump, Rocky and Star Wars hold a place in my heart as well.

Reading however is something I know i should do much more of, currently reading The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho and The Republic of Pirates - Colin Woodard.
