I'm from the wonderful city of Brighton, in the UK. Currently, however, I'm travelling in Asia, specifically: India, Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam. On my return, I will be moving to Utrecht, in the Netherlands, for university.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the concept, anything we give each other for free I think is wonderfully valuable. I love to meet people. I'd really like to have local wisdom in many of the places I visit and I look forward to welcoming people to my own home.

Interests

People are my primary interest, I've never met someone who wasn't worth meeting.
Perhaps because of this, politics, philosophy and anthropology really grab my attention.
I also love, and am humbled by, physics.

Music, Movies, and Books

I try not to restrict myself too much and I will read (prolifically) on more or less any subject, though if I had to pick out some examples of books I really value that spring to mind, I'd go for Journey to Ixtlan and The Unconquerable World.
The same goes for films, I'm not a huge film nut but I enjoy anything well made and interesting. A particular favourite is Primer.
My music taste is also pretty difficult to pin down, think metal head + hippy!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My whole time in India has been incredible, a highlight has to be standing at the southern tip at Kanyakumari and watching the sun rise from the sea amongst an enormous crowd of Indians.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always happy to learn and share ideas, in particular, conversations about physics, philosophy and politics are probably where I have the most to bring to the table but I would never say no to a new subject!
