Born and raised in London, I have spent much of my life devoted to understanding the world around me and beyond. I love people and I love nature. I have a very keen sense of humour and I have a very light hearted nature.

I am interested in just about everything, history, religion, culture, literature, film, music. Having travelled a fair bit I have gotten to understand my own culture, that of England, much more and can talk at length about British culture for anyone interested, although I am more interested in learning about other people's cultures.

I am currently travelling from Italy to Central Asia, typically hitchhiking.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Quite simply to visit a place without meeting the locals is like licking the shell and never eating the lobster. It offers a taste but you can not know a place, country, town or village without meeting its people who are the soul and life of the place.
In the past I have used couchsurfing much out of necessity but by using it I have come to learn this vital lesson by meeting so many great people and I am greatly appreciative of it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of music: Jazz, Classical, garage rock, punk rock, folk music. I like lots of old films too, films from the 40s, 50s, 60s - especially French and Italian films. So long as it is authentic and comes from the heart.
