It's kinda hard to get to know a person just by reading an "about me" section but I do live by a few principles:

1. Treat others with respect.
2. Work very hard, play even harder.
3. Always appreciate and spread kindness.
4. Always value add to the status quo.

Regardless of what I sought to do, these principles always stuck with me and they have benefitted not only myself but also the people whom I interacted with.

I am an individual with a very strong community spirit. I believe in leaving things in better condition than they already were. When I couchsurf with people, I treat their homes like it is mine. That means holding the home to the highest standards in all aspects, the most basic being cleanliness.

I also like to make meaningful connections and foster lifelong friendships. Small talk is meaningless as it tends to involve exchanges of factual and often inconsequential information. The true value add lies in the discussion of emotions - why we feel that way, problems - why they arise and how to solve them, and life in general - what our goals are and how to achieve them.

Having said that, as serious as it sounds, I don't always engage in such serious conversations. I'd like to think i'm a pretty versatile person suitable to engage in all sorts of conversations. And I am fun to hang out with!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find that an important contributing factor to amazing experiences is the people involved. I like to sing, dance, cook, drink prosecco, play squash, beach volleyball, board games and many other things. While I could do all of these things on my own, having an additional person join in always value adds to the experience.

I TRAVEL A LOT. If you look at my photos, you'll see pictures of my interactions with people whom i've stayed with. The experiences have definitely been more than pleasant (;
