Overview
About Me
Hi, my name is Lexi! I'm a laid-back, curious, and independent person. I'm not really the "party girl," (i.e. no bar-hopping, coming in at 4 am, or excessive alcohol) but I love hanging out with people. My idea of fun is a spontaneous kayaking trip, seeing a wonderful art museum, or swapping the stories of our lives with some awesome food.
I'm not the sort of person that you feel like you have to "babysit." I'm very considerate, think that communication is the key to everyone having a great time, and keep "grandma hours" (I wake up early and go to bed early).
I have a voracious appetite for learning new things. For example, I'm currently learning to cook (my first loaf of bread is in my pictures!) and I'm learning German. If you know how to do either of these things, or anything else really, I'll be very happy to learn from you.
I hope to give back kindness, interesting stories, a few games of chess, and (fingers crossed!) delicious meals. I always strive to be the best. I want to try to be the best guest you've ever had.
I'd love to answer any of your questions about me! Let's have a great time together!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all things music, except Screamo and Country. Growing up in Middle of Nowhere, Michigan, could turn anyone against Country music. I especially love to dance. Let's have a dance-off! Winner gets bragging rights.
Movies: All things Disney (90's childhood, what can I say?), Shawshank Redemption (Dad is super into Stephen King), and The Help (anthropology and social critique go together like PB and J).
Books: Anything I can get my hands on. A book about dragons, a book about Queen Elizabeth, a book about cheese, if it's printed, I want it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm Native American (I know it doesn't show, stupid German genetics...). So, I've built igloos, wigwams, and tepees. I've made my own regalia, and been to more powwows than I can count. I have my very own "Pocahontas" necklace, and I used to carry my most precious objects in a leather pouch around my neck. This upbringing has also given me a lasting respect and love for nature.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Anthropological ideas, Knitting, Embroidery, English, Native American culture, Green Cleaning, Gardening
Learn: I want to learn everything. Do you know every insect known to man? Cool! Do you know how to win at chess? Awesome! I'm happy to learn anything.
Share: Funny face contests, jokes, the thrill of adventure
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've already traveled quite a bit (wanderlust is my driving passion), so I hope to share some funny travel stories and the tips and tricks of living on the road! Because of my travels, I've already learned quite a bit. Would you like to know how to mend your clothing? I can teach you. Would you like to know the best way to train a dog? I can teach you! Would you like to learn/practice English? I can definitely teach you!
