I want to finish my degree in Linguistics and maintain the languages I learned, as well as learn more!

ABOUT ME

I love learning new things! I especially love traveling and learning new languages as well as hearing other stories of people from all over the world! I have been told that I am an easy-going and accepting person. I am also very curious. There is just so much to see and learn in the world and I will never be happy with what I know. I always want to learn more!

I live with my fiance, who has lived in Turkey and is very well traveled himself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I currently live in a two-bedroom apartment with my fiance. I always wanted to host, and now that we have a spare bedroom, we can!
My schedule is very busy, however, so depending on the time and what I have going on, I may not always be available to host.
I am always able to meet for lunch or dinner, and when I travel, I would love to couchsurf some more!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have lived with host families while studying abroad, and I hosted students from my university at my house during breaks while I am home.
When in Japan, I stayed at somebody's house, and met another person to see the city!
I have not hosted anybody from the site yet.

Interests

I want to become fluent in as many languages as I can! I am always willing to learn more, even if it is only a few phrases or words. I tutor English and I find it very fun to explain my own culture and languages to others, especially because I know how hard it can be to learn sometimes.
I also really like watching horror movies, playing video games, and things like that. I like animals and children a lot. I am a cat person, by far, but I do not have any cats currently.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love grunge music! Rock in general is good for me, but I also like electronic, dance, classic....really, anything!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to the Galapagos islands was absolutely incredible. Not only for the obvious beauties, but sitting on a beach at night just taking in the fact that I was in a place some people only dream of was incredible. I will have to think about this question...
But it is the little things I enjoy the most.

Teach, Learn, Share

We love when people make us food, so if you like to cook, please feel free to use our kitchen.
We like movies as well!

We have a wall of postcards, and would appreciate if you had a postcard for us when you come. If not, no big deal!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have many stories, and can share a lot about language on a scientific level. I also have a lot of interests.
