About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Keep life exciting

ABOUT ME

I'm a happy person who smiles a lot and laughs loudly- laughter is good for the soul:) I'm an extravert and really enjoy being around people, learning about their lives and worldview. Love hiking, being outside, a good conversation and making a big deal out of fantastic views. I'm continually amazed by the natural world. And I love love food. I grew up in the United States, and moved abroad in 2015. I'm still changing countries and loving the experience.

PHILOSOPHY

The only thing you can control is your reaction.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Great company/tour guide! Sometimes I'm super busy, sometimes not, so I can host once in a while too. I like to use this platform to get to know people, and not just a free hotel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been lucky enough to be hosted by a quite a few CSers in my travels around my own country and in Europe/Africa, I've also hosted in San Diego; all very positive experiences

Interests

Hiking, traveling, watching the stars at night, laughing, jumping into the water, walking in grass barefoot, smelling the roses, listening to live music, taking a nap in the sunshine, chatting about history

Music, Movies, and Books

I've read so many books I can't really remember.

Does Planet Earth count as a movie when all the episodes are on DVD? Also, Shrek and Blood Diamond.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time in the mountains of Colorado I was hiking and felt the ground shake from the hooves of a herd of some kind of deer:)
I also jumped off the Stratosphere building in Las Vegas! It was so fantastic seeing the city up in the air like that, at 1100ft/335m, my personal highest.
In southern Spain I hitchhiked up to El Torcal with this hilarious old farmer to see amazing wonders of rock and erosion.
Almost crashed into a sea turtle snorkeling in Hawaii!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd really like to learn more about different languages, learn how to sail, how to play music by ear, how to dance salsa
