Overview
About Me
Hey! My name is Lexie, and I consider myself a jack of all trades, and a master of none. I’m currently studying Psychology and Business at Florida State University (go noles!) and plan on graduating in December 2019. I have a wide variety of interests and rule out nothing, however most of my interests dip into nature activities, travel, cooking, and building connections with others. I love to explore, camp, and hike, and I’m a great conversationalist who can find a friend in practically anyone. I currently work for the University as a professional fundraiser, but all of my previous jobs have been as a cook, so I promise to whip us up a fine meal if you’d be willing to let me use your kitchen!
I’m currently embarking on a solo road trip through the western United States, living in my Prius and camping within our beautiful National Parks/Forests while I have off from school/work summer of 2019. I’m low maintenance and easy going, which makes this trip achievable and enjoyable. I’ll be covering 15 states in a 2 month period and I’m looking for a way to meet new people in the towns I pass through (and catch a snooze/shower).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My road trip! As stated above, I’m embarking on a 2 month road trip through the National Parks out in the western US. I’ll be covering many states as I’m starting out in Florida, and am looking for hosts along the way. I hope to meet locals in the area that can give me a taste of the city, or just offer some conversation and company.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music- anything and everything! I rule absolutely nothing out. I love alternative rock, but also have strong preferences for indie, the oldies, 90’s & 00’s country, 70/80’s rock, and a variety of rap.
Movies- horror & thrillers are where it’s at! Silence of the Lambs is my all time favorite (book and movie) but I can always enjoy a good comedy, action movie, rom coms, and even some Hallmark specials. Really, I’m open to all :)
Books- I love reading! As stated above, my true soulmate is Hannibal, but I love Chuck Palahniuk, psychological thrillers, and some random ones in between.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My father lived off grid in Alaska for years, so I’ve done a fair amount of adventuring through The Land of the Midnight Sun.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll certainly bring a gift for my hosts to show my gratitude!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’ll cook for you! I’m skilled in the kitchen and can whip up some good meals. Just find a Pinterest recipe and I’m sure I can give it a go. I have no allergies, love spicy food, and I’m not picky at all (seriously, no aversions) so I make for a pretty easy going dinner partner if you have some local favorites or recipes you’d like to share yourself!
