Overview
About Me
I grew up in the beach town of Gloucester, Ma, 45 minutes outside of Boston. Being the middle child with 5 siblings, I'm happy to say I'm an excellent people-person. So lucky for you, I would say I'm pretty easy going and do not require any sort of luxuries in my attempt to cheaply travel around Europe!
Since I was was young, I've had a job working at either a busy cafe, a local farm, or landscaping through the summer heat. I would like to say these diverse jobs made me into more of a go-getter and (hopefully) a better candidate for this couch-surfing experience. I do not expect anything grand, and will do my part in making sure I am a good guest. I've heard quite a lot about people abusing this sight just for a place to crash, but that is not my intention. Otherwise I would book a hostel.
For the past 3 months, I have been living with a family as an Au Pair in Santander, Spain, teaching English to the young-ens here. I've met so many great people and the overall experience has made it difficult to book a flight home to the US. So I have the utmost confidence that my couch surfing experience will be a top-notch one.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Though the travel bug has been in my system since the time I graduated, I feel it has not yet been satisfied. I'm using my last free month before I am home-bound to do some great traveling in Germany. I have been once before to stay with a friend, who lives an hour outside of Frankfurt. Now I am headed back again, to eat Bratwurst, and a thousand different pastries.
The little German I had learned through high school is mostly forgotten and I would use this experience to improve. And this means actually being involved in the language, so couch surfing is a great fit!

Music, Movies, and Books
Lately, for books, I have been a big fan of Bill Bryson (A Walk in the Woods, The lost Continent: Travels in Small Town America etc.). As for music: ANYTHING. I love old American folk, Spanish party music, The Beatles, Two Cellos, even Frank Sinatra. I always like movies based on books, or anything with Tom Hanks
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
