In India I got to travel with classmates to Bodhgaya, the city where Siddhartha reached enlightenment while sitting underneath the Bodhi tree. The city is full of monks that circle the bodhi tree silently and purposefully. The community is bursting with color and life, while maintaining such a strong sense of peace. I felt an undeniable positive energy that seems like it has existed for centuries.

While in South Africa I got to ride elephants through a forrest. This moment was so incredible mainly because of how much I love the giant creatures. They are powerful yet graceful.
