Get to know many cultures, languages, and many interesting people!
Despite being born and raised in Switzerland, I have Polish origins.
I'm open-minded and am trying to explore the world and meet new people while I am still a student and have the time to do so.
I guess I am falling a bit out of the frame when it comes to my character, I represent a mixture of various backgrounds and cultures and thus it's hard for people to really categorize me.
It rarely happens that I don't get along with somebody, and I can usually make even the shiest people talk.
I think a lot of my travel ideas developed due to the romanticized idea of adventurers exploring the world which were present in many books I was reading when I was younger - which happened to often put me in unique situations.
Things I want to do before thirty:
- Climb Mount everest
- Go "in to the wild" to alaska for 5-6 months
- Travel to the north / south pole by sailing boat
- Drive with a chopper through south america
"The only people for me are the mad ones, mad to live, the ones who are mad to live, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a common place thing but burn, burn, burn, like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes "Awww!"
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine glass in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “WOO HOO what a ride!!!”
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
If somebody is in need of a place to crash, he is welcome to come to our place anytime. We know how it is to be stranded in a foreign city without a place to sleep. And we´re glad about any help we get when traveling - so this is our way of saying "thank you"
The wonderful thing about Couchsurfing is that it connects people that think alike. People who travel, who are curious and want to discover the world, who want to know more - regardless of the age - whether Couchsurfers that were 18 years old or ones that were over 50 , we had always an amazing time, one that we will never forget.

I have many interests..Actually it is a pity the day only has 24 hours. I like sitting down and reading something study related, but I also love playing piano which I started 14 years ago.
As for sports I couldn´t live without sailing. It´s amazing how free you feel when you are on the sea and the wind is blowing in your face and you can just go wherever you want... If I have the possibility I go windsurfing whenever I can, it used to be a big passion of mine.
And one of my other big interests is probably travelling, what goes along with learning new languages..now that I have a few months off every year I try to grasp every opportunity to see a little part of our beautiful world, trying to discover the little gems out there.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: LOTR, HP; SW etc! Same goes for the book , I think I read HP at least 30-40 times.. (And yah, I´m still waiting for the letter!)
Anna Karenina, Kafka on the shore (Haruki Murakami), On the road (Jack Kerouac), Steppenwolf (Hermann Hesse), Barney´s version, Whatever works etc.
Indie rock / rock / punk / classical music, whatever I'm in the mood for!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Guess a couple of months ago I would have said Eolian Islands - sunset over a Volcano..but ever since I was in Lapland I must admit that the Aurora borealis ist just m i n d b l o w i n g. A bizzare greenish something that moves through the sky.. Definitely a must see. It took us four days of patience till the sky cleared up, we even spent a night in a winter cottage surrounded by meters of snow , everything , everywhere you looked was white, and it was so frickin´cold.. but damn.. it was worth it :)
EDIT: living with the Hmong tribe in Northern Vietnam is another amazing thing I had the privilege to experience!
Teach, Learn, Share
If you want to wake up Hangover style, not remembering anything but having epic photos on your phone and wondering why you are 100 miles north of your city - put a bottle of Vodka on the table and it might just happen!
I can help you out with your German / French /English / Polish , give you an i.v. Injection when you´re hungover or just listen to you if you feel like talking to a complete stranger about all the intricacies of life.
