Overview
About Me
I am a doctor candidate at Peking University and major in political science. Hopefully it would not remind you of a boring guy. I like to travel around and explore new things in my journey. For example, I went to Everglades National Park in Florida but didn’t want to just jump in an air boat and looked around. So I signed up for a special day tour with wet walk in the glades and paddling among the mangrove searching for crocodile. We rolled our trouser legs and walked in the swamp about ten meters away from the cute alligator couple. It was amazing. I am always preparing for surprises in the next journey.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think the best way to know about a city is to chat with the citizens and to live like a local, or simply observing the people in a normal and natural community. In this way, I can really know the spirit of a city by being part of it.
I also like to make friends with all kinds of people. I’m always willing to hear your amazing stories and experiences.
Interests
I like to travel, especially hiking. I like Chinese Confucian philosophy.
As to sports, I like playing Ping-Pong and squash.
Born in 1980s, I am a little reminiscent. I love the folk songs or ballad much more than pop music.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite books is “the Analects of Four Confucian classics” written by Zhu Xi in Song Dynasty, basically a nine-hundred years old book. It explained the classic Confucian text by Confucius. When I was depressed or confused, I would like to randomly read some pages and then my courage would come back and I can focus on my goal.
My favorite music is Chinese campus folk in 1990s.
My favorite movies were “The Shawshank Redemption” and “12 Angry Men”. I can’t remember how many times I have watched them.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To celebrate our first anniversary, my girlfriend and I planed a travel to the beautiful countryside during the rape flower season in Wuyuan (a small town in southeastern China). One day we needed to climb over a hill and hike for almost 30 kilometers. At first I was a little worried about if my girlfriend had the stamina and if the hiking was worthwhile. It turned out that during the hiking the views were splendid, the air was clear, the mountain spring was sweet and cool, and we can see much better views than the agent coordinated travellers’ group. Most importantly, I found my girlfriend was so good a travel partner. And the whole travel and hiking was so amazing. I really enjoyed that amazing trip with her and she is my wife now.
Teach, Learn, Share
I always want to learn some interesting skills such as mixing drinks.
