Hi! I’m Lia and I would love to meet you, I am an easy-going, fun and friendly traveller. I love sharing and learning about others. I have been backpack budget travelling for 4 years, working and travelling slowly around in various countries in Europe. Central and South America, Asia and now in New Zealand. My special skills include making my mother nervous and being able to nap in any position, location and situation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

New Zealand is one of the most expensive countries I will have travelled to. Coachsurfing will help me find new people and make new connections as well as allow me to travel further and longer while on these beautiful islands!

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m into all sorts of music, at the moment in a rabbit hole with latin reggae but it switches around every few months! Obsessed with reading, and will read anything I can switch with in Hostel bookshelves and other travellers!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently, I have walked along a 200 mile European coastal path barefoot to raise money to combat plastic pollution. I’ve also escaped a drug cartel, hitchhiked a jet ski, camped along the Mexican Pacific coast and been chased by an elephant in Sri Lanka.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love hearing travel stories and sharing experiences. It’s what makes us human :) I’m also in the progress of learning the guitar. I’m also fluent in English and Spanish and can help practice with either one!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer interesting conversations, lots of laughs, can even cook a decent meal and bring a few beers round if you’re up for it!
