About Me

ABOUT ME

If I were a flower, I'd be a jasmine. If I were a cat, I'd be a tiny, black ferrel one. If I were a tea, I'd be good earth (spicy yumm) tea. If I were an article of clothing, I'd be a flowy tank top. If I were a repile, I'd be a tortoise.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to couch surfing! Don't know how I've survived so long without it. As soon as I am not living in a community, I look forward to having people crash on my couch.

Interests

One of my all time favorite things is to make flower necklaces. I really love to sit in the grass and watch the clouds too ( I used to say I wish I could be hired as a professional cloud observer, to which my friends would reply "you mean a professional slacker!")
I've been training in AIKIDO for almost 2 years and love the endless learning about bodies, energies, conflicts that don't need to be conflicts and simply feeling powerful.
I also like to garden, swim in the ocean, be around horses, cook, and attempt to dance :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Kahlil Gibran. Anthony DeMello. Peter Levine. Steinbeck. Christopher Moore. Anita Diamont.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked Machu Piccu. Camped on a volcano that was spewing spoke (I truly thought I would die that night). Worked in a hospitality center for homeless folks for two years (probably the craziest). It's pretty amazing to see my younger siblings growing up. Wow.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a bit about exercises to release chronic trauma from the body.

"It [trauma] has the potential of opening up a place of deep inner wisdom about humanity that we would never have chosen to explore otherwise." -David Berceli
