Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Liam Apter, my parents are from the UK and Wales but I was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. I love travelling because you get to hear so many fantastic stories, learn about people's lives and do things you don't do otherwise (the classic reason). I also work as a journalist predominately writing about music but I love to chat about anything. I also thoroughly enjoying watching films, going to concerts and writing about my experiences. Aside from working as a journalist I also work as a marketing coordinator, I manage a Hip-Hop group and work as a cross country coach.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here because I want to meet people who actually live in the places I'm visiting and discover what they do as opposed to what places like The Lonely Planet tell me to do.
Interests
I absolutely love music; talk to me about music and we'll be up all night.
I also love talking about history, refugee policies (I work with a refugee group) and watching an absurd amount of anime (neon genesis evangelion ftw).

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything by Terry Pratchett, Jack Kerouac and Patrick Rothfuss (authors).
Favourite albums currently are Malibu by Anderson .Paak, Not To Disappear by Grimes, The Beyond / Where The Giants Roam by Thundercat and Art Angels by Grimes.
I really like Leonardo Di Caprio and Tom Hardy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to Glastonbury Festival in the UK and got so drunk I can't remember hearing Kanye West cover Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody but perhaps that was for the best?
But seriously does doing the Trans-Mongolian railway and travelling through Siberia and Russia count?
