Overview
About Me
I'm a freshman in college and studying engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. I ran cross country, was captain of the swim team, and ran outdoor track in high school. I grew up 15 minutes north of Boston and wanted to go somewhere kind of far for college.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I really want to travel as much as possible in my life, but since I'm a broke college kid, I really can't afford to spend a lot of money on hotels or anything. The other thing is that I really enjoy getting to know people from other cultures and fully immersing myself in my surroundings, and I think that staying with a local will help me do this.
Interests
I'm really into music and play the drums so if anyone has a set and is willing to let me play please let me know! I also like hiking, running, swimming, and just generally having a good time. Apart from outdoors stuff I also enjoy reading, watching good movies, listening to/playing music, going to concerts, and just hanging out doing nothing.

Music, Movies, and Books
For music I can pretty much vibe with anything but if I was listening by myself I'd probably listen to funk, punk/metal, or classic rock. I also love bumping to rap/hip-hop when it's on. In the movie department I'm a big fan of anything Tarantino (Pulp Fiction especially) or Spielberg (Jurassic Park/Indiana Jones). Typically my favorite book is whatever I read last. I like the classics that have action like Moby Dick, and Huck Finn but mostly I like newer adventure/fantasy stuff like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Game of Thrones. The Sun Also Rises by Hemingway is an all time favorite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably the most amazing thing I've done in my short 18 years was go on a two-week school trip to Eastern Europe. 14 days in places like Prague, Vienna, Krakow, and Budapest with some of my closest friends was an unforgettable experience. I saw a lot of beautiful places, met a lot of great people, and learned a lot about both.
Teach, Learn, Share
Right now I'm at that point in life where my experiences/life lessons are limited. I haven't done a ton of really cool things, and that's a huge reason I'm on this site. I'm trying to build on the small amount of experiences that I have. At the same time I'm more than willing to share any experience I do have with anyone who wants to listen. I can teach people about where I'm from, the music I play, the subjects I study and I hope I'll learn just as much if not more about my host.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to think that I'm easy to get along with so hopefully I can share a lot. I can play the drums and know a lot of good music, I'm fluent in English and know some Spanish, I know a few good recipes, and hopefully I can make their experience as good as mine.
