About Me

I'm 22 years and am currently living with my parents (on a sort of gap year) so that I can save up money to visit Morocco in December (2019).
I have an undergraduate degree in architecture and I plan to finish my studies in 2020.
I love learning things and being forced outside of my comfort zone. I will cook you a mean meal whatever the dietary specification (trying my hardest to be vegetarian).
I enjoy listening to good music and watching good movies. Also really like going to art galleries.
Dry sense of humor and very open minded :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am going to attend a summer school in Delft in July (2019) and may need somewhere to stay because I've never been to that side of Europe and it would be cool to have some insider knowledge (especially since I'll be there on my own) and lets be honest, the South African Rand is not the best currency for a traveling student...
I have time to kill before the summer school so looking to see somewhere new that I've never been to before, Berlin? Sweden?

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music. Have a soft spot for disco (Chaka Kahn, Donna Summers etc.), Rock (Prince, Henrix etc.). I'm struggling to write a list without writing a four page essay, so I'm sure you get the point.
Top few movies: isle of Dogs, Call me by Your Name, Amalie, Kill Bill, Django Unchained, Ghost Writer (in no particular order) but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.
The book I'm currently reading is called: Debbie go Home by Alan Paton

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked at an NGO in an informal settlement, called Khayelitsha in Cape Town, for a year, helping improve its urban design and making life a tiny bit easier for it residents.
