About Me
Graduated from Aberdeen Uni and gradually figuring things out bit by bit!
Was lucky to travel to Finland through an EU knowledge exchange program when I was 18 but only now starting to solo travel outside the UK.
Have done lots of volunteering around Scotland- helping build a turf hut from scratch, scything hay meadows, birdwatching. Learning more about nature-friendly farming and permaculture is always great. I grew up on a farm and I'm always happy to get perspectives and ideas on what to do with the land!
No dietary requirements but happiest cooking and eating veggie or vegan.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My flatmate hosted a couchsurfer and it was so nice to provide a home from home for travellers who probably don't get much space to rest and recover without splashing out on a hotel. And having help available for them to make the most of their stay and not waste money :)
Also it sounds like a fab way to travel for cheaper while meeting new people, hopefully doing something nice for them too and getting to know the area through them :)
Music, Movies, and Books
The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman was incredibleeeee
All music is lovely and anything live is fabulous- folk and jazz especially!
Teach, Learn, Share
Learned some Spanish and would love to develop it further.
Grew up in Aberdeenshire, Scotland and live in Aberdeen. Very happy to talk about life in Scotland and the UK and give advice on travelling there :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Advice on natural spaces around the Cairngorms and the coast which are generally accessible by bus.
Competent in a kitchen and very happy to help cook!
