About Me
Hmmm...well I'm a tax lawyer...for the government....not off to a good start with that, really. Well I'm pretty nerdy, always up for a good fun tabletop game or a night listening to some good live music accompanied by good company and new people from far flung places.
I'm primarily here to meet new people and make new memories.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I finally got leave approved at work to go visit my sister in the US. I'm going the long way round to do some hiking and maybe attend a presidential rally (if I can get myself to a battleground state), so my other sister has suggested couchsurfing to get off the beaten track...so here I am!

Music, Movies, and Books
sci fi, political non-fiction (but not biographies, i just don't get that), documentaries, comics, history, swing music, live music, bit of everything, really.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Geez that's a toughie...I'll list the three places I think are uncynically beautiful that I've visited:
Great Barrier Reef, Australia
Yosemite National Park, USA
Koyasan, Japan.
Amazingly beautiful each and every one of them. Go visit!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can introduce you to the find world of Australian cuisine, such as the chicken and/or eggplant parma, pavlova, pikelets and other delicious foods that don't start with P!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good stories, the odd board game (the kind that travel easily...so card game is probably better) plus wide eyed wonderment at their amazing town, state and/or country.
