Travel isn't about the destination, or even the journey per se, but the people in between.

History geek and trivia aficionado from Canada looking to go exploring and make new friends along the way. I've had the pleasure of sharing my hometown with some great couchsurfers over the years and the experiences have shown me what an amazing community this is. This Spring I will be completing my undergrad and moving on to the 9 to 5 grind. Before then, I want to take these last few months of freedom and push my boundaries as far as they'll go.

In the past five years I've lived in Montreal, Nova Scotia, Calgary and Toronto.
Traveling Canada has opened my eyes to how amazing the world is and just how much there is to see out there. I've loved experiencing different cultures and ways of life, from the fishermen of Nova Scotia to the cowboys of Alberta. I find its the small things you pick up from actually visiting a place that let you really get to know a place and its people.

To see the world! And meet more of the wonderful people that inhabit it. Couchsurfing to me is a unique way to travel and fully immerse yourself in the places you visit. Being able to draw off of the experiences and knowledge of a local to make the most of your trip is such an amazing thing. Likewise, for years now I have loved giving tours of my own city (Montreal) and sharing the things I love about it.

Music: Love it all. Music is one of the things that I think really brings people together. Personally, I'm especially fond of lyrical hip-hop with a 90s sound. Also a sucker for unapologetically dirty pop music when prepping for a night out.

Movies: Good Will Hunting, Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon, The Pursuit of Happyness, Coach Carter, The Game, Into the Wild, The Internship, Dead Poet's Society and of course, Starship Troopers.

TV Shows: Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, The Wire, Entourage, House of Cards, House of Lies, Suits, Dexter, True Detective.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I've driven every back country road in Vermont, New Hampshire and much of upstate New York. It was work that brought me there but most of the time it felt like anything but. Exploring historic New England mill towns, hearing the creak of old wood floors in general stores and following winding rivers for hours on end are memories I wouldn't trade for the world.

An open mind! I see being able to surf with someone as a huge privilege and always love meeting people in the places I visit. I’m an easy-going guy, happy to go out on the town or stay in discussing life and swapping stories. I’d be happy to tell you all about my home (Canada) and hope you might like to come visit someday.
