I was born in British Columbia, Canada but mostly grew up in Washington State, US. When I graduated from University of Washington in Seattle I moved back to Canada and worked in Victoria, BC for the past 5 years. I was working as a manager at a popular Canadian tea company. Travelling has always been a passion for me, and after saving for years, I’m finally living out one of my dreams. I believe that meeting people and getting to know the ‘non-touristy’ side of a city is one of the most important parts of travel, and couch surfing is a great way to do both! I am happy grabbing a drink at a local bar or just relaxing and having nice chat. Overall, I am an easy going person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been fortunate enough to host some wonderful couch surfers in the past and I'm looking forward to couch surfing more myself now. I have been travelling Europe for the past 4 months and plan to continue my travels for another year. Hostels are fun but can get tedious and tiring. I find staying with local hosts is a fantastic way to learn more about the city and culture from a more genuine perspective. Of course, it's also a great way to meet wonderful, new people in a more relaxed setting.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love songs from every type of music. My travelling friends make fun of me because I am constantly using Shazam and Spotify to learn about new music, I just love how often I come across new types while on the road.

I rarely watch movies alone, but enjoy watching them with company. If you have a favorite movie, I likely haven't seen it, but would be happy to watch it with you!
