Me and my partner are currently travelling in Australia for a year. Having worked as a teacher for eight years, I am enjoying a more laid back lifestyle - at least for a while! We both want to experience new things,see as much as we can and would love to live locally as well as travellers.

We are Couchsurfing to gain an insight into local life across Australia and to experience different ways of life. We hope this would be the perfect opportunity to meet new people who could become friends for life. We are looking for life experiences that will shape our year.

兴趣

Cooking,scuba diving,animals,cinema,travelling abroad and in the UK,my partner can play guitar and has a feel passion for music. I started to play the drums but could do with a bit more practice!

Our musical tastes are varied ranging from Tame Impala,Oasis and Kasabian to '70s hits. We have seen the following gigs live in the last two years - Wolfmother, Noel Gallagher, Kasabian, Kurt Vile, The Zombies, The Cult, Sleaford Mods, Mark Lanegan, Richard Hawley, Parliament Funkadelic, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Matthew plays guitar and also really enjoys music production. My fave film - Charlie and the Chocolate factory! The original. Books - love a good autobiography.

We both took a trip along the Great Ocean Road which was unforgettable. Beautiful views and even got to see koalas in the wild.

Coming from the UK, I am able to teach people about life in Britain and offer travel advice about a range of countries which we have visited. I would ideally like to share stories of travelling and learn how to make the most of any future opportunities to travel.

I really enjoy meeting new people and hearing local knowledge and hints for travel in different regions - any must sees or restaurant recommendations are always appreciated. I would hope to be able to return the favour for places where we have travelled to. I love cooking and I would be keen to cook for you or to enjoy a relaxing meal out with good conversation.

I am very keen to help out and if you need any chores doing I am more than happy to do this, I actually like cleaning!!

I am good with pets and children, working as a teacher I can understand teenagers! I love animals and have grown up around a variety of pets and love looking after them.
