About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Big picture: save the world. Every day: be joyful in everything I do

ABOUT ME

I love to dance, knit, hike and explore. I love how big and diverse our world is and I want to see as much of it as I can. I'm terrible with directions, but that doesn't stop me from ending up in a new place every time I have enough money to travel. My greatest passion is teaching and I'm so lucky to live in a beautiful and foreign city like Hong Kong and teach English!

PHILOSOPHY

Someone told me once that I shouldn't do anything if I'm not going to do it joyfully. I aim to be joyful in what I do and to never forget what I have been given and how lucky I am to be where I am today. Gratitude is the word, I suppose. Gratitude for what I have and the generosity to share what I have with others.

Interests

Dancing, hiking, learning, knitting, foaming soap, nutella and peanut butter, new experiences, bad sci fi movies, good photography and of course...travel!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a 5 month, 7 country abroad trip in 2008-2009 that took me and 27 classmates around the world. Switzerland, France, Egypt, India, Thailand, Hong Kong, Mainland China, South Korea. It opened my eyes to the world. I could never pick a single moment that made that trip the most amazing 5 months of my life, but volunteering at Mother Teresa's orphanage in Mumbai was potentially the hardest and most eye-opening experience in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to teach someone how to knit and I really, really want to learn to play guitar!
