About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Sail around the world and acquire a Scottish accent.

ABOUT ME

I'm a Canadian in my early twenties planning on travelling the world, or at least as much of it as possible. I would love to sail around the world but if that proves impossible, I will stick with just travelling normally.

I love outdoorsy stuff, and will generally go for pretty much any insane idea I can come up with.

PHILOSOPHY

Just live. Money is stupid, don't worry about it. Live life for every day, and do awesome stuff. Cliched but there you go

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've lent people my couch before, although I just discovered this site. I've also stayed at other people's houses while travelling. Why pay for hotels when you can stay somewhere for free AND meet new people!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books, mostly Sci-Fi and Fantasy. Ender's Game is a favorite, as well as the Inda quarted by Sherwood Smith.

Movies I find harder to get into. Bon Cop, Bad Cop is a good Canadian movie.

TV shows: BSG, Buffy, Stargate, Doctor Who, X-Files...loads of good shows.

Music? I like Great Big Sea quite a bit, but I will listen to basically anything that isn't rap.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw MacBeth in the Globe theatre, which was thrilling. Climbed Arthur's seat in Ediburgh. Sailed a tallship from Brockville to Halifax and participated in the 2009 tallships festival.

(yes that was 3....I apparently can't count)

Teach, Learn, Share

If anyone wants to learn about tallship sailing, I have quite a bit of random bits of information about that. Random pretty courtyards to be found in the Market in Ottawa, and the heights of actors in some of my favorite television shows. How to set up a tent blindfolded, how to do rolls in a kayak, how to shoot bows, how to canoe through mild rapids, and how to fit crazy amounts of groceries on a bike.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, France, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
