I’m a big basketball fan—more of a watcher than a player these days. One of my proudest life goals was visiting all six continents, and I’m happy to say I’ve checked that off. Travel is a huge part of who I am—I actually start feeling restless if I stay in Sweden for too long.

Back home, I spend a lot of time gaming, going to the gym, playing pool, rewatching One Piece, and just walking around the city. I work as a software developer, so I spend most of my workdays sitting and coding. That’s why when I travel, I try to flip the script: hiking, snorkeling, whitewater rafting, mountain biking—anything active and outdoorsy.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I only recently found out about Couchsurfing, but the idea immediately clicked with me. I’m an optimistic person by nature, and over the years I’ve ended up hosting quite a few strangers—some of whom became good friends. I love traveling, but lately, accommodation costs have started to feel more expensive than the actual adventures, so a friend recommended I join this platform.

I also really enjoy showing people around my city (Gothenburg has a lot of hidden gems most visitors miss), so I hope to both host and surf when I can. I’m looking forward to meeting new people and making the most of the Couchsurfing experience.

I listen to a lot of a afrobeat and pop. Movie-wise, I’m a big fan of The Shawshank Redemption, The Prestige, and honestly anything with Viola Davis, Edward Norton, or Denzel Washington. I’m not much of a bookworm, but I’m always open to recommendations.

Besides visiting all six continents, I’d say one of the most amazing things I’ve done is learning how to regularly reinvent myself. Being open to change, new experiences, and honest self-reflection feels like a rare skill—and something I try to practice as much as possible.

I’ve noticed that when I show people around my own city, I start seeing it with fresh eyes and get more creative in how I explore. So if nothing else, I hope I can help hosts rediscover their own surroundings in ways they might not expect.
