About Me

To survive in a radioactive desert with only a toothbrush

Hello, my name is Lib, I paint, draw, sew, kinda cook, play piano, ukulele, electronic music, garage, and I also practice trapeze, rope and aerial silk at the circus. Right now I'm studying musicology at uni and try to work on my independant 'fashion in movies' online magazine project, while recording some yéyé and garage songs with friends. I don't have any ambitions, just want to build stuff I find in my mind, like this clown costume inspired by a precious rock I saw in a toy shop, and being able to live without needing a lot.

Being subjective and looking for beauty

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I most of the time am looking for a couch to crash on. I also host people sometimes but never have done this by couchsurfing yet.

I'm essentially interested in art, creation, mythology, theology, traveling, and meeting different kind of people. My interests and inspirations are right now focus on circus (modern, ancient, every kind), nostalgy, Afghanistan's gypsy traditions, and Elvis Presley.I've got some interests in alternative medicine, History of costume, old trains, ecology, anatomy, labyrinths, and feminine jazzy voicesas well.

Music, Movies & Books

Movies :Wong Kar Wai, Tsai Ming Liang and Michel Gondry are my favorites contemporaries directors. I love nouvelle vague films(Godard, Truffaut, Melville, Demy, Varda...), and independant art house stuff.I'm also interested in Romanian cinema cause every movie from there I saw were full of fantasy, intelligent humor, and life.Music : "Adjatok edy szalmaszàlat Égessem el a világot"Garage, rock'n'roll, psychedelic, krautrock.. I also can say that I like weird music, like the ones who seem to come from a laboratory, made by a crazy biologist. I like when sound is inspired by insects, lyric voices, and drums (I love military music and lullabies).Circus sounds got me too.Books :I like comic books (Sandman, Kabuki, The Watchmen, From Hell, Batman (especially in Arkham asylum), X men, The Runaways, Bodybags...) and tales (Grimm, Perault, or Pullman, Jules Vernes...)Some autors I like : Shan Sa, Weihui, Lois Lawry... A lot of ladies but I also like San Antonio, Charles Bukowski, Victor Hugo, Aragon, Murakami Ryu, and Philipp Pullman Right now I'm reading Tristan Egolf's 'Lord of the Barnyard : Killing the Fatted Calf and Arming the Aware in the Corn Belt'Arts in general:My first obsession is Jan Svankmajer, and I really enjoy (for painting) Maurice Denis, Egon Schiele, Mucha and Gerhard Richter.Hans Bellmer, Julien Martinez, Aurélie William Levaux, and Annette Messager as super cool as well.My second obsession is the lyrics by Jacques Demy, Barbara, William Sheller and Serge Gainsbourg.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Being awaken by Anton Newcombe playing piano as I was sleeping in his Berlin studio.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach chess, Chinese chess, some piano, ukulele and French, poker, and I'd enjoy to learn tango, violin, different languagesIf you are a circus person, we can share our aerial silk tricks.
