ABOUT ME

I'm a 37 year old technology professional. I'm married and I have 3 children. I spent some time in the USMC after high school after which I worked in the restaurant industry. In 1999 I went back to school, got my degree and started working in IT. In high school I toured the country with a religious choir, visiting about 35 states, Canada, and Mexico. Now I'm more interested in jam band music like Colorado bluegrass.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in the principle of non-aggression. That is, live and let live. Harm no one.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was in high school I toured the country with a religious choir. There were about 100 youth that would couch serf at host homes provided by the churches we would sing at. After exiting the Marine Corps I spent a lot of time couch surfing, mainly in my hometown of Memphis, and then to Houston, and Seattle.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I coached/assisted my wife when she gave birth in a pool in our living room. I delivered my own baby boy, the placenta, then cut the cord. There were two midwifes present assisting us, but it was mostly my wife with a little help from me. I've done a lot of crazy and amazing things, but from my perspective this was by far the most incredible of all.

I'm an expert in technology, from desktop computers, websites, systems administration, etc. I'm also a gardener. I practice yoga. I'm a shade-tree economist.
