ABOUT ME

Clean, no nonsense lad with humanly traits like adjusting to any place on the face of earth. My limited travels mean that this is a notion at best. But with my time in Loughborough I'm getting to know a lot about living it up and fending for myself. Will travel extensively over the course of 2010 and 2011 as part of an European erasmus programme. Just so that you know, I'm loving every moment of it.

PHILOSOPHY

I had one not so long ago. Now I just 'take it easy' and wait for life to throw me my share of surprises. Though I try to make it happen every once in a while. If that helps.
'Don't conform' is my guiding philosphy I'd reckon.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS has grown on me ever since a friend first spoke to me about this bugdet and phenomenal way to travel and see places. Getting acquainted with a local who knows his/her way around is an added benefit. I could be a good host for friends or fellow surfers if y'all wish to know a little about Pune or Loughborough (latest addition) through my eyes. Add Kassel, Deutschland to that now.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have met some open, large-hearted, generous and welcoming people through CS. The silent winner for me is CS events and meetings in cities all the time. Most of the times it's a good reflection of the power of CS than a one-to-one host-surfer interaction (only).
I'm quite impressed with couchsurfing in general and the trust that hosts repose in surfers in particular.

Interests

Deal hunting. Period. I'm a pro at finding awesome shopping destinations (which mind you even locals aren't aware of) and picking up prospective stuff. Which in effect means that I stock up on stuff that I probably have no use for. Retail therapy of a crooked order if you will.

Music, Movies, and Books

Stallone movies. Al Pachino makes his legend felt too. Music was an era ago. As music technology become more accessible, I unfortunately moved away from music. European music (melancholic) would take me back I feel. Don't know. Books were and currently are strictly academic. No books (novels) since that's what they're asking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw paramedics in Loughborough rescue an accident victim in 5-7 minutes after a crash. And thought, Gosh, Human life seems to have value! And I'm sure the girl is recoving well in hospital. Day 1 at Loughborough was scarily event ridden.
