ABOUT ME

I am Sarin. I was a farmer but now i am in town. I live in Battambang.

But always I remain about my life when i was a farmer. In my village people are very poor and it is difficult to have any chance.

When I was young I wanted to continue study, but i didnt have money. I dont have parents for help me to follow my wish.

Nowadays, I have a job in a Hotel in town but I still remember my previous life and because of that I want to help my villagers in their education.

I day some sponsors from Singapur Couchsurfing, help me with my project. Thanks to them I can open a library center in my village.

Children now have a safe place where they can go to read a book, to play a game and to learn english.

I am looking for some volunteers or someone who can support my project.

If you want to know how is the real Cambodian life you can come to my village and to help us.
You can stay a short or long time with a free accomodation. Teaching english and setting up the library is needed and any new idea is welcome.

You are welcome to give some books. If we have extra books we will sell them in the second hand shop and we will use the money to buy some Khemer books, computers or something else.

An amazing thing for me has been to see the children of my village sitting in the library, playing, reading and having fun without any other worries.
