I am at heart a vagabonding plant collector, fascinated by the diversity of plants and foods that people find, harvest, grow, breed, select, culture, cook, ferment, and EAT. What a poetic way to interact with the world, to manipulate the sun and then eat it! Besides plants and food, water, i love water, because we all, me, plants, and food need it.. And to float is divine.. Thus a deep love for swimming, canoeing, snorkeling, diving, sailing...

I am getting very into Participatory Fruit Tree Improvement.. Of Cinderella species.. The idea is that there are so many fruits in the world, many of which are only known very locally... Because they are typically seed propagated fruit quality is variable.. By identifying the best trees and then grafting them, the good ones can be strewn around the world and the diets of all enriched and bettered..
