CURRENT MISSION
Becoming a zen master
ABOUT ME
I am an archaeology and history graduate who chooses to work in a craft beer bar since craft beer is my second biggest passion after history. I am a beer sommelier and currently learning how to brew (lady brewer!) When I don't do beery stuff I raid my friends' books collections looking for history stuff, I watch history documentaries or quiz shows as my ultimate goal is to end up in Eggheads (UK quiz show with people that know EVERYTHING!). I am also absolutely obsessed with dogs. I listen to music all the time.
PHILOSOPHY
Recently I started lving my life the way I want without trying to please external parties. SO far it's the best thing I've ever done.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For now I'm just hoping to take but I hope to start giving back soon.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I used to host a lot when I lived up in Scotland. I surfed a great floor in Oslo for a couple of nights and equally great floor in Cambridge. Both good few years ago when couchsurfing website was orange.
Most of my adult life I didn't have time to travel between studying and working full time, but now I'm a graduate so I want to start discovering new places.
I am also hoping to move houses soon, so hopefully I could start hosting again (not enough space in my current house :( )
Interests
Well... Beer... History...
I wanted to study psychology when I was still at school so I did a fair chunk of reading on this. I read books, both history books and novels.
Also funny dog videos and cooking experiments when I have some time in hand.

Music, Movies, and Books
Just to give some sort of idea.
Music: Arctic Monkeys, Maccabees, Animal Collective, The Clash, Sigur Ros, Jamie T, Alt-J, Jack White...
Movies: Blue Valentine, Quentin Tarantino, Tim Burton, Emir Kusturica
Books: Mainly Polish authors like Szczepan Twardoch or Stefan Chwin. I find it easier to appreciate literature when I feel I have a full capacity to appreciate the language.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had a chance to see parts of ancient Pompeii that are closed to the public. For a history freak it was quite a big deal.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach anyone how to make the best fruit pancakes in the world. Plus anything about beer, obviously! :)
