I'm an International Relations student, an amateur mezzo-soprano and accordionist, a wanderlust, an art, culture and food enthusiast. I like to read books or articles on the internet. I love listening to people's stories. I think it's really fascinating to know how people perceive the world around you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe in this kind of free hospitality network as an alternative tourism. I believe that Couchsurfing could offer an exchange of trust that could gain a long-term benefit, also a real cultural exchange. I believe that Couchsurfing is also the best way to experience the real travel--living and sharing experience with the locals. When I'm traveling, I don't want to just see the landmarks and scenery that could be found on postcards and google--I want to actually interact and have an experience with people who have local perspective. I think that way, I'd gain a lot more insight and I could give something back, too.

I enjoy art very much, especially music. I love listening to many kinds of music and I always love when I'm introduced to new ones! I'm a big fan of Harry Potter series. I'm also a sucker for foods, especially desserts. I love trying local foods, visiting bookstores, library and record stores

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Poland, Germany, Switzerland and France with a folklore group from my campus and perform Indonesian traditional dance & music throughout those countries. I introduced my culture to the audience and to fellow performers from different countries--I get to know their traditional culture as well. It was my first time traveling without my family and during a quite long period of time--1,5 months.
