ABOUT ME

I m Lien, 28 yrs old, medical doctor (GP), in a small cosy town in the crazy country Belgium.
Apart from being a doctor, I m a fanatic african dancer, I sing arias and I enjoy time with friends. During weekends I prefer going on big walks or getting lost by bicycle.
I ve travelled a lot in the last few yrs, especially to remoted mountain areas for trekking but I ve also lived and worked in Uganda for half a yr.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I m completely new on CS. I ve heard very much about it already but so far no real CS experiences. Thou I must say I ve hosted quite a lot of people ( friends of friends of friends) and on my holidays I also ended up quite often at friends of friends of... And I must say that have been great experiences. Since it s great to get a country from the inside out!

Interests

I love african dance or should I say dance in general. Moving with your body and feeling the music get into every corner. If there is some music you can find me on the dance floor.
I also love cycling, walking, ... in nature. It makes me relaxed and it always fills me up with energy.
Apart from that I love meeting my friends to talk, walk, laugh,...

Music, Movies, and Books

I love many kinds of music... I love african acoustic things like ali farka toure, habib koite, marco and le tps oke jazz, ...
But also latin music is my thing.... but then adele, selah sue, amy whinehouse aren t that bad either.... and you could even convince me on a dancing evening that house is the best music there exists.... and last week I was at a beautifull concert of Henry Purcell....
So my musical taste is a bit difficult to describe... In all styles there is good and bad... but beauty is in the ear of the beholder.

I dont read very often. It s a holiday thing. Then I just love it to get lost in a beautifull roman.... rather a romantic love story reader....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking the landmannalaguar trekking in iceland
or cycling around in Belgium. As long there is nature involved I m in!!! I m always overwelmed by it. Add some nice compagny and I m having a perfect time
