ABOUT ME

I am a slightly shy but curious young woman from the Netherlands. I have finished high school in 2010 and I noticed that I was so bored with my life. So I looked for a way out. I've stayed for 1,5 years in Iceland working as an au pair, staying with a lovely hostfamily. At the moment I'm close to finishing a five month stay with a family in Switzerland. In two weeks I'll be returning home to start university.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Sadly I haven't really had the guts yet to actually surf anyones couch, because I haven't been living at home for nearly two years I also haven't been able to host anyone so far, but I'll hope I'll find some courage soon. ;)

Interests

Books, movies, music - both listening to it and playing an instrument, Lindy Hop (that's a very cool swing dance) and traveling of course - although I haven't seen a lot so far.

Music, Movies, and Books

Harry Potter! - that was basically the first thing that came to my mind since I LOVE that series. I like reading but the akward thing is that I do not read a lot anymore. I was a giant bookwurm when I was around fourteen, but I don't read that often anymore, now I think about it. - time for some change perhaps!

When it's about music I like a lot of different things. I have got this weak spot for 'soundtrack music'. Vangalis, Thomas Newman, Harry Gregson-Williams, Brian Eno, they all deserve a statue.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Northern Lights! I have seen some very clear ones during my stay in Iceland - it was amazing!
