ABOUT ME

I'm a child of the road, and in my 22 years I've lived in 26 places. For now, I'm a student at University of Colorado at Boulder, where I study political science and psychology and captain the CU fencing team. I live a mile from the foot of the Flatirons, and love going on hikes through the trees there, which smell like vanilla.
I do what I can to protect the Earth--I take the bus every day, re-use, recycle, and try to make it easier for others to do the same.
I also work as a roadie, doing sound for live bands in the Boulder/Denver area. (Ask me abut it, maybe I've worked for your favorite!)
Single-malt scotch is my drink (when I can afford it, which isn't often) and I love to cook for myself and others--Mediterranean and Tex-Mex are my specialties.

Above all, I want to experience as much of the world as possible in my short time on it.

I'm just a newbie on here for now, but I look forward to meeting new people who are gracious enough to open their couches to me, and look forward to doing the same for others when I'm back in the States!

Music: MUSE, Radiohead, Snow Patrol, Van Halen, The Doors, Nina Simone, BB King, Eric Clapton, Rogue Wave, Paolo Nutini, Mozart, Shostakovich, Queens of the Stone Age... I like just about everything except country, most pop, and rap; I embrace the belief that "music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life."

Books: I love murder mysteries and a little sci-fi/fantasy. My favorite authors include Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and George R.R. Martin, and my absolute favorite book is Good Omens by Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett.

Movies: Gosford Park, Amelie, the Bourne trilogy, Dogma, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, Grosse Point Blank, Runaway Jury, The Usual Suspects, M*A*S*H. I enjoy movies, but prefer books.
