Sobre mí
CURRENT MISSION
The sum of the beauty you can find in this world is a firehose, but all I see is a drinking fountain.
ABOUT ME
I spent the first half of my life living in a house in a crowded suburb outside a giant city. Since then I've lived in a double-wide next to a little lake in the woods, 13 miles from a town of 11,000 people.
I'm politically libertarian, I'm all about DIY, and I love being outside. But I think mostly I just love the company of awesome people who maybe do things differently than I do.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm not the kind to beat around the bush. I believe in God. I believe Jesus is who he said he was. So I guess that makes me Christian- but definitely not in the "voting bloc" sense.
I just think the world reflects a need that I can't fill. We strive for the ideal and never find it. We have the vision in our head, but we can't seem to create it with our hands. A government. A song. A god. A painting. A lasting friendship.
Now don't get me wrong- most of the time I like and enjoy what I see in front of me. I look outside my bedroom window and I see a beautiful forest, and think to myself, "This is good". But I know that at some point, either by the hand of nature or the hand of man man, those trees will die. They could burn to the ground or they could simply grow old. But I have to believe there's a forest somewhere that doesn't thirst, starve, or burn. And in that spirit, I have to believe that there is some place, some level of existence, where nothing that we see in our head as good dies. "A light that never dims, and love that never dies", as Dustin Kensrue put it. And I believe this has to originate from something.

Música, películas y libros
I love just about all music that is real and not manufactured garbage. I listen to random stuff and don't really have a whole ton of "favorite bands" or anything.
Movies, well, again I have a few favorites like The Shining and Fight Club that define what I love to see in a movie, but I haven't seen enough to know for sure everything I like. Workin' on that.
For novels, everything by Douglas Adams is gold. I also dig Salinger, Cormac McCarthy, and Tolkein off the top of my head. Outside of the fiction world I really like Timothy Keller and Mark Driscoll to name a couple.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I want to learn to cook better! I love it but I suck at it. xD Especially with wanting to be someone who's on the go, it seems like being a traveler of sorts can make or break your health, and it starts with what you put in your body.
