ABOUT ME

I've lived in Rensselaer County, NY for essentially my entire life but I've had the good fortune of being able to travel substantially. Everything is worth experiencing. If you find something mundane it probably means that you aren't looking at it through the right angle.

PHILOSOPHY

Peace, love, unity, justice, and integrity. I try to be filled with love, even when I'm pissed. I try to enjoy everything in an experiential way; it's not just the drink - it's the texture, color, etc. I hope to create, not destroy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't had much an opportunity to participate in CS, but I look forward to digging in more deeply. The next section tells the story. Hit me up. If I'm in actually home - and that's rare - I would be happy to host. And hopefully one day I'll have some free time for doing some surfing myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of my stories I don't think I'm going to tell online - haha.

I haven't had the opportunity to couch surf through CouchSurfing but I look forward to both surfing and hosting. I've had good times lining up interstate adventures on friends' couches and also in activist housing. I've also hosted random folks I've met who need a couch. It's all a hoot. But I'm looking forward to using CS.

Interessi

Community and political activism, anything outdoors-like, live music, chilling. Good food, good drink, and good people. I make homebrew so I'm really into beer, but wine and liqour too. I take a similar interest in tobacco. But like I said up there, everything is interesting if you look at it right.

Musica, film e libri

I'm not so good about movies...The Wind that Shakes the Barely is a great movie, but it's very sad.

My music is all over. Folk, funk, punk, hip hop... See "my interests"

My bookcases are look like a typical lefty activist. Chomsky, Klein, Shiva, Parenti, Guerin, Zinn. I've also got the opposition represented though. Yergin and Stanislaw, Friedman, other Friedman. And of course the classics like Smith, Humes, Marx, Albert. I really don't read enough fiction...

One? Not a fair question. The most amazing thing I did in my lifetime was get born. Everything else shook out from there. And it's all been amazing. Even the bad stuff.
