Overview
About Me
I’ve dedicated my life to psychology, spirituality, and finance.
I grew up traveling the world. First with my parents, starting at 10 months old when we moved from the Soviet Union to the Middle East. And later on to the Netherlands. Eventually, I felt that I never really fit in anywhere, as every couple of years we moved. The feeling of being an outsider made me ask big life questions. And I sought answers in religion, spirituality, yoga, and self-development. In my late 30s, I found mine in Carl Jung's analytical psychology and in my meditation practice.
I have worked for a US Congressman, at a boutique consultancy in Oxford, tutored literature, worked for over a decade as an economist and investment banker at one of Europe’s oldest banks in Vienna. Felt unfulfilled and lost. Left my banking career embarking on my Grail quest, or the search for enlightenment as it is known in the East. Which led me to become a Jungian psychologist and a professional coach.
I love to travel, to connect deeply, and to meet people in a real, authentic way. I enjoy talking about life—sharing stories and perspectives—and diving into the deep stuff: philosophy, religion, God, yoga, civilization, and what it really means to be here.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and exchanging stories.
I also believe in paying it forward—offering others the kind of warmth and generosity I’ve been lucky to receive on my own journey.
After more than six years abroad, I’ve recently returned to Austria. I’d be happy to show you around and share what makes this place so special, through the eyes of someone who has both left and come back.
1) Why I should host you:
Because I offer more than just a place to stay—I offer connection. I enjoy meaningful conversations, cultural exchange, and creating a welcoming space where people can feel at home. Hosting is my way of giving something back, and if you’re someone who values authenticity, curiosity, and openness, I think we’ll get along well.
2) What made you choose me as your host?
Something in your profile stood out—it felt genuine, warm, and open-minded. I’m drawn to people who are curious about the world and others, and who travel not just to see, but to understand. You seem like someone I’d enjoy meeting and sharing space with.
