ABOUT ME

I think traveling and living in a new Country/City is one of the most important experiences to me. To go abroad and start a new life in a new city is something I don't want to miss and I hope I can add some more places in my list.

I made this experience the first time when I went to Berlin to study there for one semester.

After that I had no chance to go abroad for a while, but I had the chance to fill this gap with some traveling to India, South East Asia, Egypt and China.

In 2010 I was staying in Thailand, Chiang Mai. I made a long time plan true, by saving some money and quitting my job back home. To live abroad of Europe and exploring the feeling of living in Asia.

After I short break back in Vienna, I am here now, in Guangzhou, China.

I have to admit to go abroad has a sad and a smiling eye. You have to leave friends, family and places behind you, but you can gain new friends, explore new places and that's why it is worth it. It is also nice to leave something behind, as you can see how valuable things are you have at home. So now I am here and just about to start a new life.

PHILOSOPHY

I love life cause every day is a new change to make right what you might missed to do the day before.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined some Meetings and try to participate in Groups if I can share something. I did show around two CS in Vienna and it was really nice. So far I could not host anybody, due to the lack of my own apartment and couch. I hope I soon can also participate in that way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Joining some meetings, joining groups to get valuable information and always being overwhelmed by the kindness of people here.

兴趣

My interests are in my opinion endless. Either I am interested in everything or I just can not make a decision what I like most, so let me just list some of it, though I like to mention you can attract me with many new things, always curious to learn learn learn new things, whatever it is.

Sport: Tabletennis, Badminton, Swimming, Scuba Diving, Biking, Football, Skiing... but I enjoy almost every sport. To be active and to move and feel your body is just great :)

I love cooking, especially austrian, italian and 'asian' (I know it do not really exist, but western people should get the meaning of it) dishes.

I am interested in TCM and Tai Chi.

I am interested in Art + Science. Nothing more exciting to learn from history and understand things better or to see/hear/read some good documentation.

Books: Murakami, Douglas Coupland, Milan Kundera, Sven Regener, Heimito von Doderer so far... but I enjoyed to read many classics too, like Goethe, Shakespear, Hermann Hesse, etc.

Music: maybe the most important part for me, the list of music a love is endless for sure just to name some; Thee Silver Mount Zion Memorial Orchestra, Björk, Element of Crime, The Paper Chase, Tiger Lillies, etc

Movies: The Fall, Everything is Illuminated, Lust and Caution, I am a cyborg but that's okay, Studio Ghibli Productions, etc.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

All my trips were amazing. How can a point out a single moment?

The most amazing thing is when you enjoy a movie, a book, a song or whatever and suddenly you have this great feeling of 'what a great piece of art, what a joy that people are able to do this' and you can feel that life is worth to be seen and to be experience.
