PHILOSOPHY

I live to increase the enrichment of myself and everyone around me who I have the capability to reach out to. This usually starts as smiling at people as we pass and over time grows into sharing sentiments and expressing insight about the world around me. I try to do this in a way that creates a desire in people to do the same because I want to learn from them.

Can host up to 2 people either crashing in the Lehigh Valley or en route to/from NYC, Boston, Philadelphia etc

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

haven't yet hosted surfers overnight, but have attended various hangouts and attended some shows with surfers. Surfed in San Fran.

Laceration repair: when someone cuts themselves open while away from medical facilities, you'll need to know how to suture the cut. You'll need stitching of some sort and a needle, honestly nothing else is absolutely necessary. First clean the wound with water, at least a liter if you can spare. Don't scrub, just dilute the wound. With the stitch attached to the needle, introduce the needle through the skin about a half centimeter away from the wound of pass the needle under the wound to the other side and bring the needle out. Move up a centimeter or so and re-introduce the needle on the same side as the first time you punctured the skin, this creates the same "spiral" shape with the stitch as real hemming and so forth. When you get to the end, pull the stitching tight and tie large thick knots with both ends of the stich to keep the stich from slipping. This is NOT standard suturing technique but will prevent bleeding and contamination until you can get to proper care.
