I used couchsurfing in South America last year and it was awesome

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have had only the best experiences so far. It's worth the extra time and effort to connect with someone thru this site, because it honestly leads to much more than getting to know a city or town. I've couchsurfed in Chile, Argentina (mostly), Brazil, Bolivia, US.

Stopped traffic in a small beach town as we pushed a yellow VW minivan named Choclo down the street until it finally started up again. I'm sad to say that on that day, it died. RIP Choclito!

Hitch hiked from Santiago de Chile to Córdoba with a crazy Belgian! We made it in one piece (well, 2)

Hitch hiked alone in the north of Argentina and a lovely person picked me up and I lunched with his family.

Busked in buses and plazas in the north of Argentina with a lovely inspirational Peruvian friend.

Stayed with the dopest of couchsurfers!!
