One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was in Rwanda, we (my dad, cousin, and I) went on a gorilla trek. The hike up the mountains was intense, but once you get to the top, the view of the Ruhengheri (which is the town of Rwanda we were in) was absolutely amazing and breathtaking. Being that high up and seeing the rich, lush, green mountains makes you feel so connected to the vegetation around you.
Another time, when I visited Dakar, Senegal, my dad and I took a boat to visit Goree Island. There was a trail that took us to the top of the island; 70 stories high (who knows, maybe higher). There was no fence, we were on a cliff; seeing the ocean & sun at that altitude was the most beautiful view I think I've ever seen in Africa. The air was fresh, the smell was clean, and the water was gorgeous.
