About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting better health wise through doing creative and arty things

ABOUT ME

I am interested in developing creativity and looking at using creativity for myself and others. I enjoy taking part to Community Art Projects, philosophical chats and traveling - going to Morocco this Christmas 09!

PHILOSOPHY

Gosh, what an existential question! Why do I live my life? Paradoxically, searching for a feeling of being ALIVE which does not involve taking any substances

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't participated in CS much yet, as I live in a shared house and unfortunately cannot currently welcome people, but would be more than happy to meet anybody coming to the pretty town of York and showing them around / go for a coffee for a chat

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, but I have several friends who have used CS while traveling and who are hosting travelers and their experiences have been more than positive, so this has encouraged me to join

Music, Movies, and Books

Recently saw the film 'Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis', hugely famous in France and not too serious. I loved it because it tackles in a very silly way the prejudices and cliches of linguistic minorities, and it made me belly laugh like I rarely do since I live in England
Love LOADS of types of music, especially classical and jazz, but somebody I rally admire is Yann Tiersen, multi-talented musician with a clear style

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not sure I want to tell of amazing things here to attract a 'wouahou' response - tiny little moments can be much more memorable and touching. If I recall one month of volunteering in Sierra Leone, I mostly remember the daily contact with people, especially with the curious children playing at being scared of me, or a little girl crouching next to me one morning while attempting to lit a fire, and bringing flamboyant flames in under 20 seconds

Teach, Learn, Share

Mmmh... maybe languages? I speak French English, Italian and Spanish. And German if I really have to.
Sharing ideas and chats

Countries I’ve Visited

India, Sierra Leone

Countries I’ve Lived In

Switzerland, United Kingdom
